Accessibility statement for savy.tax
This statement applies to the Savy website and the web pages Savy sends its customers, such as the HMRC connection, document signing and refund review pages.
Savy is run by Savy Solutions Limited. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means you should be able to:
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen;
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard;
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software;
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader;
- read the site with your own colours, fonts and text spacing.
We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand. Most of what Savy does happens in a conversation on WhatsApp, by phone or in the chat on this site, so you can use whichever channel suits you. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- some staff-only administration screens use small text and have controls without arrow-key navigation;
- PDF documents we generate for signing, such as the HMRC form 64-8, are not yet tagged for screen readers; the same content is shown as accessible text on the signing page;
- the chat on this site relies on typing; voice notes can be sent on WhatsApp instead.
Feedback and contact information
If you need information on this website in a different format, or you find a problem not listed here, email hello@savy.tax or message Savy on WhatsApp. We will consider your request and get back to you within five working days.
Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
Technical information about this website's accessibility
Savy is committed to making its website accessible. This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
- Generated PDF documents are not tagged (WCAG 1.3.1 and 4.1.2). The signing pages present the same information as HTML. We plan to produce tagged PDFs by the end of 2026.
- Some staff administration screens contain text below 4.5:1 contrast and tab controls without arrow-key support (WCAG 1.4.3 and 4.1.2). These screens are used only by Savy staff; we are fixing them section by section.
What we are doing to improve accessibility
Accessibility checks run as part of our development process, and customer-facing pages are reviewed against WCAG 2.2 AA before release. We test with keyboard-only navigation and with VoiceOver and NVDA screen readers.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 18 September 2026. This website was last tested on 18 September 2026 against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. The test was carried out by Savy using a combination of automated checks and manual review of every customer-facing page.
